The museum currently consists of the house “Pins Arfrens” known as “La Tela” from 1912 and a botanical garden. The project contributes to a design and functional assessment of the current Botanical garden in the whole operation, as it is an unusual and surprising space in the urban environment. Thus, the project envisages general access to the museum from the garden itself, in other words, from nature.

The new building is conceived as a true backdrop to the garden. It would be a rectangular building between the Botanical Garden and the newly created garden, where the foyer allows double access and visual permeability inside-outside and between the three levels of the building. It would house the temporary and permanent exhibition rooms, the auditorium, the noctuary, the planetarium…
